You are a disrespectful bitch. Just because you don’t believe in God, does not give you the right to disrespect the earthy authority figures of those of us who do. You don’t go to church fine. But the Pope’s opinion is respected because he is God’s earthly representative. The Office of the Pope as you put it is the Governing body for the largest religion on earth. Who exactly coordinates atheists? Who polices your morals? I won’t even offer to pray for you, you seem beyond redemption

 This has got to be the nastiest personal comment I’ve ever received here, and all because I want the Pope to stop preaching against condom usage so people don’t get AIDS and DIE.  Are you fucking serious?!  And I had been doing so well with my swear words too.  LOL.  Oh and I’m sure Jesus is giving you thumbs up for your wonderful words to me. If you take nothing else away from this reply, know that your refusal to pray for me carries the same weight as the opinion of your Pope; they are both shitty.  Atheist have the wonderful ability to police ourselves.  We don’t need some old guy in Italy acting as an intermediary to some non-existent sky being to be moral and upright citizens.  You may want to to think about that for a while. Based on your comment to me, both your earthly and heavenly leaders are failing you in that department.  Do yo really think Jesus wants you calling his female humans bitches?  

This is not the first time I’ve encountered Catholic rage, and because I don’t think you’re worth the time of replying to personally, here’s what I had to say about it last time:

 

The Papacy has always been too powerful. From its very beginning and throughout its history, it has written and re-written laws, edicts, and commands. It has banned and burned scripture and people to protect itself. It has done whatever it deems necessary, without an ounce of remorse, simply because it can. It has been untouchable and will remain so. Even when abdicators removed large amounts of its numbers, such as Martin Luther or Henry the VIII, the power it holds over those faithful to it is unbreakable. People have lied, tortured, and murdered in the name of the Papacy. Yes, this has been done in the name of all religions, but unlike many religions, the order to do harm did not come directly from its highest earthly governing body. We tend to look at Muslims and other religions first when we think of murdering zealots. However, we should never forget that the Roman Catholic Cult and its leaders are the embodiment of religious evil.

In 2011 it seems unbelievable that an organization with documented charges of sexual abuse against it would be unfazed. Then one remembers that it’s the Roman Catholic Cult, and knows that nothing will come of it. I blame the congregants, assholes like you, that continue to look the other way when their priest is whisked off into nowhere and new one suddenly appears. I blame those who continue to tithe and donate, funding the Papacy. I blame those who continue to make pilgrimages to the Vatican City and treat this very human man as if he were something greater.  He travels around in a bullet proof car with body guards, while Jesus only had 12 disciples. The Pope knows he is human, and like most he is fearful of death.  Is this really the action of a person who is God’s emissary on earth?  If there were a God and a heaven, I can 100% guarantee you that not a single Pope in history would make it to heaven. ~ Kim
